Silver Harbor Donating $1 Per Pint of Kumbaya Brown Ale This September

For the entire month of September, Silver Harbor Brewing Company in St. Joe will donate $1 to Feeding America West Michigan for each pint of Kumbaya Brown Ale sold in their taproom.

Kumbaya is an American Brown Ale brewed with a blend of specialty and roasted malts. But if it wasn’t roasted enough for you, your server will smoke it at your request right there at the bar. The full pint glass is placed into a glass chamber, which is filled with hickory smoke, imparting a fresh wallop of charred goodness to bring you back to “those cool nights sitting around the campfire.” Silver Harbor claims this is the first example of a live-smoked beer, and we won’t argue!

Feeding America West Michigan is based in Comstock Park, just north of Grand Rapids, and serves Berrien County from its branch in Benton Harbor.

Silver Harbor is located at 721 Pleasant Street in St. Joseph.
